Been There Go There (beentheregothere.com) is owned and run by BTGT LLC, a Kansas limited liability company, and by its owners, Nick and Carolyn. By using the site you agree to these terms.
What the site is
We share travel notes, ratings and ideas from our own trips and from members. It's opinion and personal experience, not professional travel, legal, medical or financial advice. Prices, fares, hours and openings change all the time, and the estimates shown (including scratch-off budgets and airfare ranges) are rough guides, not quotes. Check with the airline, hotel or venue before you book or go.
Your account and posts
Give us accurate information and keep your login to yourself. You own what you post. By posting, you let BTGT LLC show it on the site and in our app and social pages. Only post your own photos and honest experiences. No spam, hate, harassment, illegal content or other people's private information. We may edit or remove posts and close accounts that break these rules.
Approved posts and reviews are public on Been There Go There, so anyone (including search engines and AI assistants) can read them. They show your first name or screen name and your photos, never your email, travel dates, home airport or household details. If you check "Keep this post private (members only)" on a post, it is shown only to signed-in members and left off the public pages. You can change that setting when you edit the post.
Membership and payments
Basic use is free. The Explorer membership is $2.99 a month for your first 3 months, then $4.99 a month, or $49 a year. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the Cancel page or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don't store your card number. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made aren't refunded, but write to us if something went wrong and we'll make it right. We'll give notice before changing prices for existing members. The Business Travel plan is not available yet.
Links, deals and affiliates
We link to other websites and booking sites we don't control, and we aren't responsible for their content, prices or service. Some “Compare prices” links may be affiliate links, which means BTGT LLC may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Deals are posted as we found them and can change or disappear without notice.
Travel safely
Travel carries risks. You're responsible for your own plans, bookings, documents and safety. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is,” and BTGT LLC isn't liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on its content. If we are found liable, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law
We may update these terms and will post the new date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.
