What we keep, and how to remove it.

Been There Go There is owned by BTGT LLC and run by Nick and Carolyn. We collect the name and email you give us, the posts and photos you add, your Been and Go marks, and whether you are on the free or paid plan. We use that to run the site, show your notes, and manage the subscription.

What's public

Approved posts and reviews are public, so anyone, including search engines and AI assistants, can read them. They show your first name or screen name and your photos. We never show your email, travel dates, home airport or household details. If you check “Keep this post private (members only)” on a post, only signed-in members can see it, and it's left off the public pages and the sitemap.

We do not sell your information. The host and the payment processor see what they need to run the site and process your membership payment. We keep an account while it is open. If you close it, we delete the account and the personal data tied to it, except records we must keep for taxes or fraud.
