Germany: Cologne & Ibbenbüren
We found Jesus and Thomas sharing a quiet moment on the cobblestones. Germany does sweet little surprises on every corner.
We craned our necks so far back at the Cologne Cathedral, we nearly tipped over. Over 500 feet of pure Gothic wow.
Mutter Bahr Kolonenbier, brewing since 1913. We may or may not have wanted to take the swing-top bottles home.
We rolled into Köln Messe/Deutz station. Even the train stations here have domes!
A giant green monster claw crawling out of the square! We watched the artist chalk it right in front of the cathedral.
The cathedral doors are a whole storybook carved in stone. We stood there spotting saints for ages.
When in Germany, we shop like the locals. ALDI Markt and the Posten Börse, of course.
Dinner done right: smothered in cheese sauce, fries with a ketchup swirl, and an ice-cold Pilsner. We cleaned our plates.
Woolworth is alive and well in Germany! We spent a sunny afternoon strolling past red rooftops and bikes.
Inside the Cologne Cathedral, we went quiet. Those soaring ceilings just take your breath away.
Twin spires reaching for the sky! We stood in the square in awe of the Cologne Cathedral, still being lovingly restored after 600+ years.
